UAE Local Terrorist List

The UAE Local Terrorist List is the country's own list of individuals and organisations designated as terrorist, each listing approved by the UAE Cabinet. The Executive Office for Control and Non-Proliferation (EOCN) publishes it. OFACScreen loads it from the EOCN's own download, with the Arabic and Latin names, and searches it next to the UN Security Council list.

The list we load

We load the list from the EOCN's own download. Entries the EOCN has delisted are left out. A result is a name match against the published list at the time of the search, not legal advice.

UAE EOCN

UAE Local Terrorist List (EOCN)

The United Arab Emirates' own list of people and organisations designated as terrorist by Cabinet resolution, whose funds must be frozen without delay, published by the Executive Office for Control and Non-Proliferation (EOCN). It is the UAE's national list under UN Security Council Resolution 1373 and is separate from the UN Security Council lists the UAE also applies.

What each entry records

Names in Arabic and Latin letters

The EOCN gives most people's names in both scripts, and some only in Arabic. We load every spelling the file gives, so a search in either script finds the entry.

Identifying details

Nationality, date and place of birth, and passport or other document numbers where the EOCN gives them. Organisations carry their seat and licence number where known.

The listing resolution

Where the EOCN names the Cabinet resolution an entry was listed under, the result shows it, so you can cite it in your own record.

Searching the local list and the UN list together

The EOCN publishes the UAE Local Terrorist List as a PDF and an Excel file, and the UN Security Council Consolidated List beside it. In an account, add the UAE Local Terrorist List to a search, a CSV batch, an API call or the names you monitor, and each search covers it alongside the UN list in one result.

A name typed in Arabic matches the Arabic spelling on the list, and a Latin spelling matches the Latin names the EOCN gives. For an entry the EOCN lists only in Arabic, search the Arabic name.

Questions

The UAE's national list of individuals, organisations and entities designated as terrorist, with each listing and delisting approved by the UAE Cabinet. The Executive Office for Control and Non-Proliferation (EOCN) publishes it as a PDF and an Excel file on its website, uaeiec.gov.ae.
Not a single one. The EOCN publishes the UAE Local Terrorist List, which holds the UAE's own designations, and beside it the UN Security Council Consolidated List. OFACScreen searches the UN list by default and the UAE Local Terrorist List as an optional list in an account.
The EOCN runs a Notification Alert System on its website that emails subscribers when the UAE Local Terrorist List or the UN lists change. OFACScreen fetches the EOCN's file on its own schedule, and on a plan the names you save are re-screened every day, with an email when one of them matches.
Not yet. The free search covers the default lists, among them the UN Security Council list. The UAE Local Terrorist List is optional: in an account you can add it to a search, a CSV batch, an API call or the names you monitor.
No. OFACScreen is an independent service. We load the list the EOCN publishes, and a result is a name match against it at the time of the search. It is not legal advice, and it does not replace the checks and reports your own obligations require.
