What We Screen Against

UK FCDO

UK Sanctions List (FCDO)

The UK Sanctions List published by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, the single source of all UK sanctions designations since the OFSI Consolidated List closed on 28 January 2026.

We load the list from the FCDO's own download every day. A result is a name match against the published list at the time of the search, not legal advice.

OFSI and the FCDO

Looking for the OFSI Sanctions List?

The OFSI Consolidated List closed on 28 January 2026

Until then, HM Treasury's Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI) published its own Consolidated List of Asset Freeze Targets alongside the FCDO's UK Sanctions List. OFSI closed its list on 28 January 2026. The UK Sanctions List is now the only official source of UK sanctions designations, including the financial sanctions OFSI enforces.

OFSI enforces, the FCDO publishes

The FCDO makes most UK designations and publishes the list. OFSI implements and enforces UK financial sanctions: it issues licences, receives reports of frozen assets and suspected breaches, and can impose monetary penalties.

If your tool still says OFSI

Some screening tools and spreadsheets still load the closed OFSI file, which stopped changing when it closed. Designations made since then are only on the UK Sanctions List. OFACScreen loads the FCDO list directly.

2

Re-screened every day

Save the names you need to keep checking. Each one is re-screened against the updated lists daily, with an email when something changes.

3

A dated record of each check

Every search on a plan is logged with the date, the name, the result and who ran it, exportable as CSV. For a single check, the PDF report is the record.

4

Fuzzy matching by default

Names on the UK list are often transliterated. Variant spellings surface without changing a setting, each with a score and the list it came from.
