About the List

What You Need to Know

What the ITAR Debarred List is

The Directorate of Defense Trade Controls publishes the parties statutorily debarred under section 127.7 of the ITAR, generally after a conviction for violating, or conspiring to violate, the Arms Export Control Act.

What debarment means

A debarred party may not take part, directly or indirectly, in the export of defense articles, including technical data, or in the furnishing of defense services for which a licence or other approval is required.

Defense trade is not only this list

Screen the other parties to the transaction too, and against the other lists. Our search checks this list together with the Commerce, Treasury and international lists in one go.

No. A screening tells you whether a party appears on the lists at the time of the search. Whether an export needs a licence also depends on the item's classification, the destination and the end use. Licensing questions go to BIS, DDTC or your trade counsel.
The entry's name, aliases, addresses and score, plus the licence requirement and licence review policy the list publishes for that party.
The Export Administration Regulations require records of export transactions to be kept for five years (15 CFR 762.6). The PDF report and a plan's search log both record what was searched, against which lists, and when.
No. We do not load the Department of Homeland Security's UFLPA Entity List, so a search here does not check it.
The search is free with no signup. A PDF record of one screening is $9.99, one-time. Plans start at $49 a month, record every search, run batch CSV files and re-screen saved parties daily, with a 14-day trial and no card.
