The lists TFS screening covers
The UN list is searched by default. The UAE Local Terrorist List is an optional list: in an account you add it to a search, a CSV batch, an API call or the names you monitor. A result is a name match against the published list at the time of the search, not legal advice.
UAE EOCN
UAE Local Terrorist List (EOCN)
The United Arab Emirates' own list of people and organisations designated as terrorist by Cabinet resolution, whose funds must be frozen without delay, published by the Executive Office for Control and Non-Proliferation (EOCN). It is the UAE's national list under UN Security Council Resolution 1373 and is separate from the UN Security Council lists the UAE also applies.

How screening works in OFACScreen
-
1
Search the name
Type it as it appears on the passport, Emirates ID or trade licence, in Latin letters or in Arabic. Misspellings, reversed word order and company endings still match, and each result shows its score and the list it came from.
-
2
Review any match
A match is a possible hit, not a finding. Compare the date of birth, nationality, passport number and other details on the entry with what you hold on the customer. Most name matches are not the listed person.

Keep the record
On a plan, every search is logged with the date and time, the name, the lists it covered, the result and who ran it, and exports as CSV. What you do with a confirmed match is your compliance officer's decision: OFACScreen does not freeze funds or file reports.
What OFACScreen adds to the EOCN's notifications
The EOCN emails subscribers when a list changes, and you then check your customers against it. In an account, add the UAE Local Terrorist List to your searches and the check is a name search instead of a spreadsheet. On a plan, the names you save are re-screened every day, and you get an email when one of them matches a listing.
The free search is for one name at a time. A plan adds CSV batches, the API, monitored names and an audit trail of every search with the lists it covered. Prices are in US dollars.
OFACScreen is an independent service. It is not affiliated with the EOCN, the UAE Financial Intelligence Unit or any UAE authority.
